The place To Enjoy Junior Golf
Our young golfers are very important to Coombe Wood Golf Club, which has produced several accomplished players. James Heath, now on the European Tour, learnt his trade through our junior section from the age of ten. We also have several county players and the current club champion established his golf game as a junior at Coombe Wood.
The junior organisers ensure that there is an active programme of events throughout the year. During the summer months there is a Friday evening roll–up, which any junior member may attend free of charge. Younger ones are accompanied by adults during the fun filled 2 hour session. We feel this is an ideal way for young ones to develop their skills in a safe and fun environment. The majority of these sessions are overseen by one of our PGA Professionals.
In addition to internal club competitions there is the opportunity to gain experience by representing the club in external competitions and matches. Juniors are actively encouraged to participate in all events.
